Sleds & Bruises

Today was filled with lots of wintertime fun!  We enjoyed a sledding party this afternoon, and I'm pretty sure we will all get a lot of sleep tonight.  {Insert sigh from mom and dad.}  The girls surprised me by taking off up the hill by themselves and attempting to sled down alone.  Unfortunately, their enthusiasm was halted by a collision.  But I'm happy to report that it was all mended by some hot chocolate, and brave Eva tried again.

I also enjoyed the chance to go sledding with each girl.  Time with them one on one is precious, and hard to come by.  Before going up the hill Kailey would remind me that she wanted to go slow.  Then the entire time walking up the hill she would remind me over and over again to "follow the directions".  Could she be the daughter of a teacher?

Isn't this sledding party set up adorable?  There was hot chocolate and snacks, as well as a campfire for warming up.
