February Mess

Anyone else out there in motherhood-land feel like February is just one big messy blur?  I was just trying to stay afloat and didn't seem to have any time, or energy, for creativity.

Maybe it started with my Grandmother's passing?

Or the sickness that seems to have overtaken our home? {Last year we didn't visit the doctor once, this year we are on a first name basis.}

Maybe it was Loren's 3 1/2 day trip?

Or maybe it was just my own lack of motivation? {Yeah, most likely this is the reason.}

Whatever it was this week I have been trying to simplify, and go back to the basics.  Keeping up with laundry, reading to my kids, answering all of Kailey's questions, and Bible study time.  Slowly I am feeling like things are getting back on track.

Slowly.

During one of my doctor office runs Kailey informed me that when she is grown up she wants to be a mom so she can drive places.  Doesn't that just sum up the way I've been feeling lately?

Here is my last week and a half summed up with the help of Instagram:

{Kailey literally fell asleep in the middle of asking me all of her questions.}

{Helping me make it all the way back home from another doctor visit.}

{Doesn't he have some great hair?}

{Every once in a while I have the energy to let them take a bath together.}

Today I am putting away my February decor and beginning to look forward to spring.  I spent some time pinning new mantle ideas for spring.  Hopefully I'll be able to work on putting it together this weekend.

Some of my favorites:

1.  A cute bunting hanging on a window.

2.  These eggs are no longer available, but they should be easy to replicate.

3.  I also love the idea of a neutral mantle.

Now I just have to decide which direction to go with my spring decor.  Do you have any great spring decorating ideas to share?  If so please pass them along!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend,

Becky
